Apple Cider Vinegar : Fall Special

Raw, organic, unfiltered and unpasteurized apple cider vinegar (or ‘ACV’) is one of the oldest and most useful remedies on Earth.  It contains raw enzymes and beneficial bacteria which are known for the health benefits.

You’ve probably heard various reasons to drink a tablespoon of Apple Cider Vinegar daily, but even if you are aware of all that apple cider vinegar has to offer, you might find it hard to believe that just one food can offer so many benefits.

Drinking apple cider vinegar daily can improve every aspect of your health and your life. The following are reasons that you should start drinking a modest amount of ACV every day.

Just keep in mind that you should never drink apple cider vinegar straight. Instead, mix one tablespoon with 8 ounces of water. If you don’t like the taste add a bit of raw honey.

1. Help Your Body Maintain a Healthy Alkaline pH Level

The first step towards great health begins with helping the body become more alkaline. The acid-alkaline balance is important, since many functions in the body occur only at a certain level of acidity or alkalinity. Many enzymes and chemical reactions in the body work best at a particular pH, and research has shown that high acid levels lead to a lack of energy, and higher incidences of infection.

While you might think that raw organic ACV is acidic, when consumed, it actually becomes alkaline. It keeps your body more alkaline will naturally help keep your energy levels up and better able it to fight off illness and disease.

2. Helps to Regulate Blood Sugar

A study in USA supports the therapeutic effects of drinking apple cider vinegar, particularly those who are at risk for type 2 diabetes. The researchers found that taking two tablespoons of ACV in water just before bed lowered blood sugar levels an average of 4 to 6 percent by morning.

3. Help Lower Blood Pressure

There are scientific evidences that ACV may help lower blood pressure, which in turn, lessens the risk of heart disease. ACV contains potassium, which is known to help balance the body’s sodium levels and maintain optimal blood pressure. It also contains magnesium, which helps to relax blood vessels walls, and ultimately lower blood pressure

In addition to lowering blood pressure, which lessens the risk of heart disease, drinking ACV can help increase HDL, or “good” cholesterol.

4. Promotes Healthy Detoxification

ACV works to help detoxify the body. Research has found that it specifically helps detox the liver, and that it can help stimulate circulation. ACV boasts a variety of healing processes for the skin and blood, helping to remove harmful environmental toxins that build up in the body.

Another way ACV helps to detox the body is by breaking up mucus and cleansing the lymph nodes, which allows for better lymph circulation. When your lymphatic system is healthy, it can remove toxins from cells and improve the immune system response.

5. Eliminates Candida Overgrowth

As ACV is rich in natural enzymes, consuming it can help eliminate candida in the body. Candida has been blamed for many different health issues, including poor memory, fatigue, headaches, depression, sugar cravings and yeast infections.

6.  Eases Digestive Ailments

ACV can help indigestion, bloating, gas and even heartburn. In fact, experts say that taking just a teaspoon of ACV with a glass of water can bring relief from heartburn fast. It is very effective when it comes to a variety of digestive disorders as it stimulates digestive juices that help the body breakdown food.

Do be aware that while it is effective for many digestive troubles, it won’t bring relief if you have an ulcer.

7. Accelerates Weight Loss

Adding two teaspoons of ACV to 16 ounces of water and sipping it throughout the day may help boost weight loss efforts. All types of vinegar have been used over the years to aid weight loss, because they help make you feel full.

A study published in Bioscience, Biotechnology, and Biochemistry showed that participants who consumed ACV for 12 weeks managed to achieve significant declines in body weight as well as abdominal fat, waist circumference and triglycerides.

8. Drinking Apple Cider Vinegar Slows the Aging Process

I saved the best one for the last! Other than the wisdom and experience gained by becoming older, few people look forward to the physical signs of aging, like wrinkles and sagging skin. The antioxidant properties in vinegar can help prevent premature aging and even aid in slowing down the aging process.

More Brilliant Ways To Use Apple Cider Vinegar

Not only is apple cider vinegar practically a must for internal use, but you can use it on your hair and skin, for household cleaning, and in the garden.

Work Wonders on Your Hair

Apple cider vinegar has long been used as an alternative to shampoo, not only does it help to remove excess buildup of mineral deposits, it improves blood circulation to the hair follicles to encourage hair growth and prevent loss.

To use ACV as a rinse, combine a cup of water with a quarter cup of ACV. After you’ve washed your hair in the shower, be sure that it’s thoroughly rinsed and then pour the mixture over your head, making sure to avoid getting it into your eyes. Massage it into your scalp for a minute or two to stimulate blood circulation and hair growth, and then rinse well.

If you rinse your hair regularly with apple cider vinegar, it makes removing tangles from your hair easier and closes the cuticles to improve porosity and encourage stronger strands, it leads to a reduction in breakage and split ends.

ACV Makes an Effective Toner

Why spend an arm and a leg on a pricey toner that probably contains multiple toxic compounds. Instead, save some cash and your health by mixing equal parts of water and ACV. Used as you would any toner, the mixture helps to even out skin tone, balance skin pH and even battle breakouts too. The malic acid in ACV contains antiviral, antifungal and antibacterial properties that keep the skin clean, balanced and free of acne while encouraging it to heal itself.

Fade Age Spots

ACV contains alpha-hydroxy acid, which helps the skin stay firm, fresh and renew itself. To use, combine an equal amount of water and ACV, dip a cotton ball or pad into it and then dab it onto age spots, allowing it to soak in. Leave it on for a couple of minutes initially – if your skin reacts well, leave it on longer for the best results (10 to 15 minutes), and then rinse.

How to Make ACV Taste Better

While ACV has so many uses it could almost be considered a miracle product; many people don’t care for the taste. If you’re one of them, don’t discount it altogether as you can make it taste better.

Add raw honey. The combination of ACV, raw honey and a splash of water is an easy way to make swallowing the bitterness a lot more tolerable. Just combine two cups of water with two to three teaspoons of ACV and one tablespoon of raw honey.

Combine it with juice for a tasty tonic. You can also mix a couple of teaspoons of ACV with apple or grape juice – it’s not only bearable, but you’ll also actually enjoy drinking it.

Make a tea. ACV is delicious as a tea by combining a cup of water, dash of cinnamon, a teaspoon raw honey and two teaspoons apple cider vinegar in a pot on the stove. Bring the mixture to a boil, allow it to cool enough so that it’s drinkable, and enjoy.

Hope this post helps you to understand the miracles of Apple Cider Vinegar. I am using it from a last one week and can already feel the goodness! Thank you for reading!

Happy October 🍁🍂🎃

I love October and autumn, this month is a bit magical with it’s cooling temperatures and chilly mornings. October reminds me that it's time to get warm and comfy.

The scary movie marathons begin and there’s a chill and a spook that follows you even during the day time. It's also time for me to have my favorites treats — apple pie, cinnamon donuts, pumpkin spice latte, and of course candles that emanates fall.

I am ready to feel the warmth and coziness that hangs in the air; the fresh scent of nature that streams in through the open window.

It is the feeling of knowing that it is October.

It's not October for me, if I don't do a 'FALL' Post! So here is the post! It’s that time of the year again.

FALL DECOR

There are so many ways to decorate your home in a tasteful and festive way for fall.

Geek Sleek:

Books can be adorable decorations, you just need to be more creative. Either use their colorful covers to make a statement piece or use them to complete the fall cozy look. Here is a look:

~Magazines can also be used as decorative items~

Candle Meddle:

Candle and Fall in single sentence is enough to bring smile on my face. People use candles to bring that cozy feel in home but these colorful goodies can also be use, just for the decor. Lighting them can enhance the mode, one step further.

Fall Foliage 🍁

Add a touch more autumn dazzle to your display with this simple addition: Gather an assortment of colorful fall leaves, and use wire to fasten them to a length of rope to form a beautiful seasonal garland. You can always make leaves and use them to decorate the area.

Sweater Weather

Start piling up your sweaters on a corner table and make it complete using other vintage items and there you have a cozy - personal decor.

Thank you for reading :) my post! Those who are still here.. Let me share a Spring Potpourri Recipe with you.

Making a DIY Potpourri is quite easy and can be personalized with any scents that you love. Toss in herbs or sliced citrus for filler, and the potpourri can be refreshed over and over again with your favorite scent.

What You Need:

Flowers
Sheet pan
Parchment paper (one may use aluminium foil too)
Scissors
Essential oils
Spray bottle
Citrus fruits (optional)
Fresh herbs (optional)
Whole spices (optional)
Directions:

1. Gather your flowers to use for making the potpourri. Any kind of flower will work, especially ones that already have strong scents, such as roses. Flowers with small, individual petals work great, or whole heads can be used too. Preheat your oven to 200˚F.

2. Cover a sheet tray with parchment paper. Cut the flowers from the stems right below the heads and place them on the tray, or remove individual petals and place in a single layer.

3. To add scent to your potpourri, cut and add thin slices of citrus fruits, or tuck in springs of rosemary, lavender, or thyme to the mix. You can also add whole spices, such as cinnamon sticks, cloves, which are both pretty and wonderfully scented.

4. Add 10 to 15 drops of your favorite essential oil to one tablespoon of water in a small spray bottle, and spritz the potpourri ingredients. Then pop the potpourri into your oven.

5. Dry in the oven for at least two hours, or until the flowers are brittle but not burnt. When the potpourri is ready, remove from oven and give another spritz of essential oil.

6. Once it's room temperature, gently mix the potpourri and place it in a bowl. To refresh the scent, simply spritz with the oil mixture.

'My' Favorite Android Apps (2017)

There are millions of Android apps that we can download from Google's Play store, that's too for free! When we have these many choices it's understandable that one might feel a bit rudderless. Picking out favorites also difficult and depends person to person.

Here I've listed the best 20 apps for Android users (Especially for Indians) that are sorted in social, personal use, entertainment, fitness and other categories. One more thing. I am not saying that you should download every one of these – it's just a  list of apps that sounds appealing to me!

1. Paytm

Paytm started out with mobile recharges, DTH plans, and bill payments, and then launched an e-commerce marketplace in 2014. Its wallet partners include Uber, Bookmyshow, and Makemytrip, along with others in categories such as shopping, travel, entertainment, and food.

2. Clean Master

Keep that 'clean install' feeling

Nobody likes having a slow device, and Android somehow manages to grab digital detritus like a magnet in a junkyard. Clean Master is the mop and bucket that you need to scrub your phone clean.
Clean Master’s Junk File Cleaning feature scans your Android device and chucks out any unwanted cache and residual files.

3. Prisma

Make your selfies into art

It make your photographs into strange modern art. It's  quite complex, but the bottom line is it gets weird and wonderful results. So go download it and give it a try.

4. WhatsApp

The world's most popular messaging apps says goodbye to SMS charges

Finally updated with a new interface, WhatsApp is the instant messenger of choice for any smartphone. Make voice calls or send video clips, pictures, audio or text messages. It’s everything you need to replace tired old SMS and MMS services.

5. Skype

Free calls around the world without fuss

Microsoft-owned Skype has been letting you chat for free over the internet on various different platforms. The newly updated Android and iOS apps now include video group calling. This means you can chat to up to 25 friends or family members at once, each with their own onscreen video box (presumably quite small).

6. Fleksy

This keyboard is one of the best for fast, accurate typing and it’s our new company favorite. Many of us have adopted Fleksy because it’s big, it’s clever and once you use it for a couple of hours, you realize how useful some of the smaller details are.

For example, most keyboards use a "press and hold delete key" gesture to delete words, Fleksy uses a super-quick backward swipe. Be sure check out some of the extensions like invisible keyboard too — it works surprisingly well. Download it from the Play Store for free now.

7. NDTV on android

This small app brings you all stories, videos from NDTV India, so you can always be updated with current happenings from India, on the move. The things which I like in this apps is, you can also able to become iWitness and report for NDTV.

8. Calorie Counter - MyFitness Pal

Count the calories, and the weight just falls off

Of course, running and exercise is only half the battle if you're looking to lose weight, and My Fitness Pal covers the rest. Simply search for the food as you eat it (or scan the barcode if you're eating out), and My Fitness Pal will do the rest, giving you a full summary of how much you're eating, and how quickly you can expect the pounds to drop.

There are some paid options in there, including additional dietary plans for those who really want to take control, but the free option will be enough for the majority of people.

9. Uber

Modernizing the taxi experience

Controversies aside, Uber is indispensable for anyone living in a big city, where hailing a black cab could be a quick way to bankruptcy. Uber can get you a ride anywhere within minutes of making a request. There are also five tiers of vehicles to hire, so you can travel like royalty if you so wish.

10. Twilight

Rest your tired eyes by lowering the blue lights

The research is pretty clear: exposure to screens late at night can disrupt your sleep, leaving you weaker the next day. The simple solution is to stop using phones and tablets before bed, but that's easier said than done, and that's where Twilight comes in.

Functioning in a similar way to Flux for desktops, Twilight adapts the colouring of the screen to fade out the blue lights as the sun sets and you get nearer to bed time, tinting everything in a soft red glow when it really matters. It takes a little getting used to at first, but if it helps you get better quality sleep then it's well worth taking the time to adapt.

11. Clash of Clans

Clash of Clans has taken the world by storm. You know when a clash is going to go down against a rival clan, so you and your buddies can form up and build a solid defence while also forming a powerful offence. It's tactics, management and a way to keep in touch with friends or make new ones in stranger-filled clans.

12. YouTube

YouTube is the largest video streaming site, is one of the best movie streaming app as well. You can easily find a good collection of movies on Youtube.

YouTube has the best video streaming technologies which lets you to stream movies very smoothly even when you are on a slow internet connection. On android devices YouTube comes as pre-installed.

13. Snapseed

I was introduced to Snapseed by fellow blogger and I’m so glad I found it because it makes it super simple to turn your photos into pro-looking snapshots. The way they have it laid out and organized settings and adjustments is quite handy.

14. Facebook

Well I don’t really use this “official” Facebook app. It was pre installed on my phone. I occasionally view, comment, and like friends’ Facebook posts.

15. Instagram

Instagram is ubiquitous in photography now, so you might as well have it on your phone. Owned by Facebook, the social network centered on photos offers great filters and connectivity with others.

16. Twitter

Twitter’s microblogging platform brought about the happenings, internet facet and hashtags. Connect with you friends, share your new favorite content, follow celebrities, and get breaking news as it happens.

17. Pinterest

Pinterest is the go-to social network for finding and sharing inspiration on creative projects, hobbies, fashion, and more. The app features the same functionality as the website, allowing you to “pin” and “repin” posts from other users to various boards, so you can share and save new ideas.

18. Zomato

You can set your location, the type of food you want, and your budget to find suitable local restaurants. There’s also a handy shake feature to get a random suggestion if you just can’t decide.

19. VSCO Camera

VSCO Camera has become one of the most popular photography apps, thanks in part to its powerful editing features that include impressive present lens settings, post-shot tweaks, and before-and-after comparison shots.

20. Myntra

India's largest online fashion & lifestyle store is now in your hand. Myntra shopping app has all that you need to stand out and make a style statement.
